KARACHI: DIG Traffic Karachi Wajid Ali Durrani announced on Monday that eight major roads of Karachi are no parking areas with immediate effect.
The roads declared no parking zones are Shahrah-e-Faisal; Korangi Road to Jinnah Bridge going through Sunset Boulevard, Khayaban-e-Jami, Khayaban-e-Roomi, Mai Kolachi road, MT Khan road and Jinnah Bridge; Khayaban-e-Iqbal from Teen Talwar to Clifton Bridge; University Road; Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road; Rashid Minhas Road, Shahrah-e-Pakistan; and G. Allana Road in Old Mauripur.
He said that the vehicles can be parked in one lane on service roads and warned that strict action will be taken against violators.
Durrani also announced that Beaumont Road will be one-way for traffic from 8 am to 8 pm but will be used as a double road after 8 pm.
