The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has constituted a special committee, headed by the member (engineering), to review the policy of renewal, upgradation and blacklisting of contractors and firms currently on the civic body’s panel.

The decision to this effect was taken by the CDA Board in a meeting presided over by CDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Khan and attended by all members here on Wednesday.

In the meeting, the Administration Wing was asked to submit a comprehensive summary in consultation with the Finance Wing for payment of overtime to staffers of the CDA chairman, CDA Board members and the director-general staff.

The staffers of all these officers in the CDA are required to work long hours, as the high-ups usually stay back late to finish their day’s work.

The CDA Board meeting also decided to grant extension in service to Fire Brigade physical training staff as well as an enhancement in their salaries by 15 per cent.

Similarly, the CDA Board agreed to enhance the ‘consultancy fee’ of the consultant working for master planning, designing and construction supervision for extension and upgradation of the Fire Headquarters building as well as the CDA’s Training and Disaster Management Academy coming up in Sector H-11 because of increased volume of work.

The CDA Board reviewed and approved the increase in fees of legal adviser and counsel for the civic body.
