LAHORE: Emergency service Rescue 1122 personnel rescued a man from an automated teller machine (ATM) cabin on Model Town Link Road on Tuesday.
According to sources, the door of the ATM cabin got stuck and after failing to open it, the man called Rescue 1122 from his mobile phone. The Rescue 1122 personnel managed to force the door open and released the frightened man from the vestibule.
Meanwhile, valuables worth thousands of rupees got burned when a fire broke out in Wali Khan’s house on Faisal Road. Rescue 1122 firefighters reached the spot after receiving a call and managed to extinguish the flames within an hour. According to Wali, household items worth 30,000 got destroyed in the fire but the quick response of the Rescue 1122 personnel saved his home from being burned down completely.
