PRAGUE: The European Union (EU) plans to hold the bloc’s first ever summit with Pakistan in June to “help strengthen the civilian government” in Islamabad, a source at the EU presidency said on Saturday.
The decision to hold the summit is also “a testament to the political importance the EU attaches to its relationship with the country”, he told AFP. Among the subjects slated for the summit, provisionally planned for June 17 in Brussels according to Reuters, are trade issues. agencies
