ISLAMABAD: Railways Minister Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour would formally inaugurate Margalla Railway Station and train service here on May 13.
The decision to inaugurate the train service from Islamabad has drawn wide praise from the residents, especially the business community.
Margalla Railway Station, spread over 13.5 acres, was established on November 21, 1979 but was closed down for a short period due to unavailability of passengers and small income. However, it was reopened in 1988 for freight train service only. app
