Full Version: Islamabad: Seat belts must for motorists from Aug 15, mobiles forbidden for drivers

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) will begin issuing warning tickets to motorists not fastening seat belts and using mobile during driving from August. Fine tickets for the same violation will be issued after August 15. This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Islamabad, Zubair Hashmi during road safety education workshop at Senate Secretariat. The ITP organised the workshop during which lectures on road safety education and traffic laws were delivered to officials of the Senate Secretariat. Senate Secretariat’s Joint Secretary Abdul Sami, DSP (Traffic) Hassan Raza Shah also turned up the function. SSP (Traffic) Zubair Hashmi said the aim of holding such workshops was to educate road sense and traffic rules among road users. He urged people to prove them a responsible citizen by abiding traffic laws and regulations. At the end, souvenir was presented to Abdul Sami, Joint Secretary, Senate Secretariat, Islamabad by the SSP Traffic and certificates were distributed among the participants of the workshop. app
