RAWALPINDI (May 03 2009): The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, on Saturday visited North Waziristan and South Waziristan Agencies. During his daylong visit, the COAS was given detailed briefing by the respective Division Commanders, said a press release. The Army Chief also met the troops deployed in both the areas and had informal discussions and interaction with them.
General Kayani also laid floral wreath at Miran Shah at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. Earlier, upon arrival at Miran Shah, he was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Masood Aslam, Corps Commander.
