ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) district magistrate has lifted ban on tourism, angling and boating in Rawal Dam. The Secretariat sub-divisional magistrate had imposed the ban on April 6 this year as a precautionary measure to ward off threats posed by boating and angling to public life at Rawal Dam. A notification issued on Saturday reads: “Order under Section 144 CrPC 1898 regarding ban on Tourism, Angling and Boating in Rawal Dam issued vide No-I (6) AC/Sectt/2009/70 on April 6, 2009 by the sub-divisional magistrate (Secretariat) is hereby withdrawn with an immediate effect.” app
