Two Chinese nationals were rescued by their guards after three armed men tried to rob or kidnap them in the Ibrahim Hyderi police limits. During crossfire, a suspect was killed while both guards were injured.

According to DIG (East Zone) Zafar Abbas Bukhari, two Chinese nationals of the Pak-China Fishing Company, located in Chasma Goth and dealing in prawn export, were returning from fishing on Friday along with two security guards Wajid Ali and Sharafat Ali. When they reached near Chashma Goth, three armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted them and dragged the Chinese nationals out of their car. Consequently, the security guards came out of the vehicle and challenged the criminals. During the crossfire, one of the suspects was killed, while both the security guards sustained injuries. The remaining two suspects managed to flee from the spot under the cover of fire.

The guards were wounded on their shoulders and hips, while the Chinese nationals remained unhurt. The police found two copies of national identity cards and some SIMs of various cellular companies from the killed suspect. Investigation is under way.

SUICIDE: A jobless man committed suicide at his residence in Mochko police limits on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Waseem, 22, son of Taj Muhammad, who after an exchange of hot words with his mother locked himself in a room at his residence and swallowed poison.

According to the police, deceased was jobless and after quarrel with his family, he committed suicide.
