South Korean construction firm Samsung C and T said that Nakheel cancelled a $1.08bn deal to build apartments, shopping malls and other commercial structures by October 2013, AFP has reported. 'The cancellation [of the Palm Jumeirah Village Center] came via unilateral notification with the contractor,' said a Samsung C and T statement.
