KARACHI: The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has decided to initiate a result-oriented campaign for the recovery of outstanding dues from defaulters, who bought plots from the CDGK.
The CDGK would apply the Land Revenue Act for this purpose and defaulters could be arrested if they fail to respond and clear the dues, while their moveable and/or immoveable properties could be confiscated in favour of the CDGK.
Karachi District Coordination Officer Muhammad Javed Hanif Khan issued these directives while presiding over a meeting at his office on Wednesday. Executive Director Finance Munawwar Imam told Daily Times that the recovery campaign is aimed at recovering outstanding dues against plots of land that the CDGK had auctioned to stakeholders many years ago but the dues for which were not cleared by the buyers to date. staff report
