KARACHI (March 28 2009): Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin has said that the capital gain tax will be imposed in two years, while the agriculture income would also be taxed in three years, Aaj TV reported. According to the channel, talking to a foreign news agency Tarin said at present only 50.07 million people are paying tax out of the total 20 million families.

He said that there were chances of fast decline in inflation rate. Tarin hinted that the interest rate might come down below 10 per cent by December next. PM Advisor said that since 2000 Pakistan had received $10 billion as aid from US. He said that countrys foreign exchange reserves had improved, which was a good omen.
