Sami says PML-N politicising Liberty attack

LAHORE
GENERAL Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab, Sami Ullah Khan has said his party would form its government in the province at any cost.
However, he said the party would sit in opposition in case it does not prove majority and would never destabilise the democratic system.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, the Pakistan Peoples Party leader said the Liberty attack was condemnable but it was regretful that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership was playing politics over this sensitive issue.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership including Nawaz and Shahbaz were suffering from Taseer phobia and their absence from power has frustrated them.
Commenting over the claim made by former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif when he stated that he never got his photograph published in any advertisement of the Punjab government, Sami said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader was misguiding the people of province.
The Pakistan Peoples Party leader also distributed the photocopies of an advertisement of the Punjab government in which Shahbaz Sharif’s photograph was also published.
He said millions of rupees were spent by the previous government on publicity campaign meant for political gains.
Deputy Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab, Iqbal Sialvi was also present on the occasion.
