“It is a distinguished trading arena in the capital city and I will personally supervise its uplift,” Khan assured the delegation led by President Blue Area Traders Welfare Association Malik Sohail Hussain.

The task force comprises top officials and representatives from traders to look into the issues of the area and their resolution. “I don’t want paperwork and lengthy procedures but results,” he said.

He assured that flyover being constructed on the Jinnah Avenue would be completed within a month. A proposal for construction of a mosque, a dispensary and an association office was approved during meeting.

The committee to resolve problems like maintenance, carpeting of roads, encroachments, parking, sewerage and drainage will be headed by Member Environment CDA Mazhar Hussain while Malik Sohail, Malik Saghir, Ahsan Bakhtawari, Yusuf Rajput, Syed Amin Pirzada and Shakil Aziz will represent trading community in the committee.
