ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rahmatullah Kakar has said that tremendous opportunities would be available to local and foreign investors in the upcoming mega housing projects.

He expressed these views while talking to delegations from Techno Engineering Consortium and Karcon Construction which called on him here Tuesday.

The delegations evinced keen interest to invest in the upcoming housing projects being undertaken by the Ministry across the country. They gave a detailed presentation about the construction projects being carried out by their respective companies.

The Minister welcomed the Techno Engineering, Karcon’s investment projects, and said that construction of one million houses would open widespread investment opportunities in the construction industry. He said that the government would launch six pilot housing projects in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Multan and Larkana in the next few days, aimed at providing shelter to the poor, needy and unsheltered people under the Prime Minister’s Housing for all programmes. Secretary, Housing and Works, Samiullah Khilji, Joint Secretary, Al Abid MD, Pakistan Housing Authority, Raja Muhammad Abbas and Director General, Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, Shahid Hamid were also present during the meeting.
