ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to launch a campaign against property tax defaulters and in this regard property tax bills for 2008-09 have been issued. According to spokesperson for CDA, notices have been issued to all the defaulters and those who did not receive bill have been asked to get duplicate bill from the CDA Director Revenue immediately. The spokesperson said in the first stage, all the services of defaulters would be shutdown while in the second stage, under clause 49-A of CDA Ordinance 1960, the property of defaulters would be taken into custody. The authority has asked the defaulters to pay their dues without any delay otherwise legal action would be taken against them. He said the people could contact at phone numbers 051-9253057 and 9252327 to get information. He said a separate counter had been set up in Revenue Department for the recovery of dues, which would remain open from 8am to 3pm.
