NEW DELHI: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Singh Modi on Sunday hinted at an internal hand on the terror strikes in Mumbai.

The BJP senior leader said: “If we single out that one incident (Mumbai attacks) and ask any person in this country, even with basic information and knowledge, they will say that such a big terror attack on India cannot take place without any internal help from the nation itself.”

Addressing a BJP Convention here, Gujrat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, slamming the Indian ruling party’s policies, said their existing economic and foreign policies had failed, while the alliance government had failed to ensure security for the people.

He said the Mumbai attacks could not have been possible without inside help, while the ruling alliance had not taken any action thus far against any local groups involved in the November 26 incidents. Modi’s new theory on the 26/11 attacks contradicts India’s official position.
