Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Kamran Lashari on Thursday directed the concerned officials to expedite work on e-governance in the civic body.

During a presentation on e-governance in the CDA, Lashari directed the officials to start e-governance from two directorates of Estate Management and Finance wing and complete the computerisation of both directorates by end of this month.

CDA IT Consultant Dr. Athar Zamir gave a presentation to board members on e-governance project in the authority for which a PC-1 of Rs776 million had already been finalised. The Ministry of Information Technology would provide funds for the project.

The meeting was apprised that software had already been prepared for computerised networking within the authority. A team of 200 employees have already been trained to run the system.

Lashari observed that complete computerisation of CDA would not only bring transparency and efficiency in its working but would also facilitate the general public.
