RAWALPINDI: Demanding immediate release of frozen funds, City District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas has said that development projects worth of Rs. 50 billion have been affected in the district owing to freezing of funds for Local Bodies System.

The City District Nazim in a statement said that the freezing of funds for the last 14 months halted the development work on on-going development projects started with the total cost of Rs. 300 million.

Rejecting corruption allegations against Nazmeen, Raja Javed Ikhlas stated that it is the responsibility of DCOs to release funds and if there was any corruption then the reasonability would lie on DCOs.
