RAWALPINDI: Crime rate came down last week slightly compared with the week before last. Crime data showed that two murder cases were lodged with Waris Khan Police Station last week whereas five people were killed in the week before it. Up to 24 vehicles were stolen last week compared with 25 in the week before it. Most vehicle theft cases were reported with RA Bazaar, Westridge, New Town, Civil Lines, Cantonment, Airport, Banni and Sadiqabad Police Stations. Two cases of mugging and two robberies worth Rs 1 million were reported with Airport Police Station last week. Two rape cases were reported with Sadiqabad and Murree Police Stations. Seven girls and one man were kidnapped last week. Two kidnapping cases were registered with Chontra and Pirwadhi Police Stations each and one with Murree, Sadiqabad, Airport and Gujar Khan Police Stations each. Around 13 cases of house and shop robberies were also reported last week. Five burglaries were reported last week compared with 14 burglaries the week before it. imran asghar
