Baldia Town Nazim, Kamran Akhtar monitored a grand operation against encroachments in Rasheedabad on Monday. During the raid, the anti-encroachment cell demolished unauthorised walls and shelters of markets, and also removed vendors from under-construction double track roads, town spokesperson said.

“Local residents complained about encroachments causing congestion,” he said. “Encroachments were also creating problems for the town administration and the construction of the double road was also being affected.”

Akhtar directed the anti-encroachment cell to take serious action against encroachment across the town. PPI adds: Sindh Minister for Information Technology Raza Haroon along with Jamshed Town Nazim Javed Ahmed laid the foundation stone of Murtaza Family Park in the town.

Addressing the ceremony, the IT Minister appreciated the efforts of the town Nazim and his team for taking the initiative of constructing a family park. Ahmed said that the city government is resolving problems faced by citizens without any discrimination. He informed that Murtaza Park is being constructed at a cost of Rs10 million, and it will provide all the facilities of a model park.
