Islamabad
Directorate of Revenue Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to launch a massive drive against property tax defaulters.

The notice has been issued to tax defaulters, asking them to pay their dues as soon as possible otherwise strict action will be taken against them. Director Revenue Fazal Mabood in a statement said those who did not get notice should contact at Phone No. 051-9253057 and 9252327, 9252461 and 9252498.

According to the concerned official, earlier, the city civic body used to issue demand notices and later warrants to defaulters, claiming payment of their dues.

Later, the city civic body decided to disconnect water supply of the defaulters for collecting taxes. However, the practice had to be discontinued after several aggrieved parties moved court against the decision. However, with subsequent non-payment of property taxes, the civic body has now decided to opt for harsher methods of collection from the defaulters.
