Margalla Town Underpass Construction Will Resume, According To CDA

Islamabad: According to news reported in the top newspaper on March 6, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to resume construction work on the Margalla Town underpass, which was halted due to improvements in the design.

The design of the underpass has undergone some changes, and the authority will soon resume work on it, according to a senior CDA official (whose name was withheld). The location of the underpass, he continued, has not changed. It was revealed that Margalla Town’s service road would be dualized.

Garden Avenue will also be extended from 7th Avenue to the flyover over Murree Road and Rawal Road. The spokesperson added that the CDA Development Working Party (DWP) will discuss this matter at its upcoming meeting. The party is anticipated to approve the $10 billion megaproject for the development of rural areas during the meeting.

It is important to remember that after construction on the Margalla Town underpass project had begun, the civic organization discovered some technical issues with the approved design.
