RAWALPINDI: On Monday, in response to a citizen’s plea over master’s plan violations and the issuance of NOCs to private housing societies without meeting the required requirements, Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf issued notices to the Director General Punjab Housing and Town planning department and Director Sub-Region Rawalpindi. Prior to February 22, 2023, the court ordered additional attorneys general to provide paragraph-by-paragraph remarks and a thorough report from the Punjab Secretary of Local Government and Community Development and the DG PHATPA.

The crops had also been damaged by private housing complexes. He claimed that all government-run agencies had submitted to the land developers and proprietors of private housing societies, who are quickly engulfing agricultural fields.

Despite the fact that the Punjab government adopted the Punjab Land Usage (Classification, Re-Classification and Development) Rules 2009, which required the district governments to provide reports regarding the use of lands for the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors.
