‘Lawyers won’t protest against CJ’

LAHORE: Lawyers have no plan to launch a protest against Chief Justice (CJ) Abdul Hameed Dogar over the allegations of getting his daughter additional marks.

Hamid Khan advocate told Daily Times that although lawyers had been issuing statements against the CJ, they would not announce any special protest against him. He said the lawyers did not recognise him as the CJ and would not demand removal. National Co-ordination Council Secretary General Sardar Asmatullah said that lawyers had no plan to hold any protest against Justice Dogar. He said that in case lawyers initiated any move against Justice Dogar, another PCO judge would replace him. He said that the lawyers’ demand was to replace Justice Dogar with Justice Chaudhry. rana tanveer
