KARACHI: Thanks to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan is emerging as an international trade and transit hub, UAE-based Real Estate and Investment Pakistan Expo (RIPE) Chief Coordinator Adnan Iqbal said on Saturday.

He said Pakistan was also attracting global real estate investors, particularly from the Gulf, Brunei and Asean region, who could make sizeable investments in the country.

The expo will be held in Sharjah on December 8 and 9. Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani is expected to visit the fair. Pakistan’s leading real estate developers, builders, property managers and commercial property owners will participate in the event.

In a meeting with Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) Chairman Mohsin Sheikhani, Iqbal emphasised that this year’s edition of RIPE would be one of the largest real estate exhibitions in the region.

“The two-day international exhibition will bring together a host of international financiers and foreign investors who are eager to tap Pakistan’s growing real estate market,” he added.

Appreciating the holding of the mega real estate fair, Sheikhani assured the organisers of active participation from ABAD members along with other small, medium and large-sized real estate companies of Pakistan.

Leading companies participating in the upcoming event include Taloo Builders and Developers, Orient Developers, Athar Marketing, Dupak Developers, Trust Deal, Anchor City Gwadar and several others.
