Lahore: Two more train units have reached Lahore for the Orange Line Metro Train Project (OLMTP) today, according to Steering Committee Chairman Khawaja Ahmed Hasaan. In addition to these two units, eight more train units have reached the Shanghai Port, and will be dispatched to Pakistan soon.
Hasaan told the media that under the Package-I of OLMTP, development work has been completed on all the available land that lies between Dera Gujran and Choburji. The work was stopped at some sites due to the stay orders issued by the Lahore High Court.
He also said that the laying of the railway track and setting up of depots has also been completed for the project under Package-I. Overall, the project has been completed by 76.8%, while the pace of development work has also increased on the Package-II, which falls between Choburji and Ali Town.
