Incentive package for PSIC borrowers announced

LAHORE (November 06 2008): Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) has announced an incentive package for PSIC borrowers, mainly including small businessmen and industrialists. Muhammad Yawar Irfan Khan, Chairman of Chief Minister's task force on industrial development and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Punjab, said this during a meeting at PSIC here on Wednesday.
He said that PSIC borrowers had been given the facility to pay off their principal amount and 20 percent mark-up under incentive package up to December 31 this year. The meeting was apprised that penal mark-up has been written-off during this period.
According to a handout, the chairman said that all the regional offices of PSIC had been informed about the incentive package. "Main objective of this incentive package is to provide relief to small businessmen and industrialists", he concluded.
