slamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) awarded a PKR 168 million contract for the rehabilitation of I J Principal Road, which is 28% below the PKR 228 million floor price approved in the PC-I of the project.
The announcement was made during a meeting held at the CDA headquarters on March 22, according to the authority’s official Facebook page.
At the meeting, CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal was informed that the project included the re-carpeting, lane marking, and the upgradation of drainage facilities on both sides of I J Principal Road from Pindora Chungi to G T Road. All codal formalities to start the repairs have been met, stated the update.
According to the authority, this road is of immense importance as it caters to traffic from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, and Azad Kashmir.
