The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has launched a survey across all towns in Punjab to collect data of the dangerous and dilapidated buildings.

Director PDMA has told that the survey is being conducted to identify dangerous buildings located in Punjab across the province in order to save human life. It has also been decided that no new construction of basement will be allowed in the already constructed building as it will weaken the foundation of building and put human life in danger.

Committees have been constituted at the commissioner level for data-collection about such buildings so that strict action will be taken against these violators. Furthermore, it is also revealed that a survey is also being undertaken regarding old buildings in the walled city so that information could be evaluated.
