The Capital Development Authority (CDA) teams have recently sealed the head offices of two illegal housing societies.

The concerned departments and teams have sealed the offices of Abdullah Garden and Ghauri Garden on the suggestion and identification of the town planner. More than 100 illegal housing societies are reported to be operating in the boundaries of federal capital.

These societies either have not obtained NOC from the civic authority or they lack other legal requirements to be declared legal. CDA officials have disclosed that the authority has issued 24 hours notice to Zong Head Office to either pay dues to the DMA for parking sheds or allow it to be demolished.

“The action has been planned against other illegal housing societies in the city and will be continued in line with the direction of the Islamabad High Court”, says a CDA official.
