RAWALPINDI: The city district administration on Tuesday decided to set up a task force to vacate illegally occupied buildings.

The force was constituted at a meeting chaired by Executive District Officer (EDO), Revenue, Muhammad Asif Qureshi.

Deputy District Officer, Coordination, Miss Shireen; Tehsil Officer, Regulations, Aftab Chohan; City Traders Union President Shahid Ghafoor Paracha; and others also attended the meeting.

The DCO would head the force while city police officer (CPO), EDO, Revenue, EDO, Law, TMOs of the district and five non-political eminent personalities of the city would be its members.

The force would point out illegally occupied official and private buildings in the city and take practical steps to vacate them.

Foolproof security: City Police Officer (CPO) Rao Muhammad Iqbal on Tuesday directed all the field officers to make foolproof security arrangements in and around mosques, Imambargahs, public parks and other public places to frustrate any terrorist attempt in the town.

The CPO issued the directive while chairing a meeting at his office to review the crime situation in the district, a statement released from the CPO office said.
