The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is all set to launch Orange Line Metro Train project but is waiting for prime minister’s go ahead.
The authority has requested the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to participate in the ground breaking ceremony. LDA Chief Engineer, Israr Saeed, said that the date of the ceremony would be decided as soon as response was received from the PM. It is also revealed that all the procedural arrangements were in order and a Chinese company working on the project had already arrived in Lahore to discuss the details with the LDA.
The project is expected to complete within ten months. Two local companies including Habib Construction Services (HSC) and Maqbool Kolsen would work with the Chinese company on the said project.
