Around 500 buildings in Lahore has been declared unfit for living located in 9 towns and within the jurisdiction of Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA).

Operation has also been started to evacuate people from there to initiate demolishing. It is revealed in the latest survey report conducted by the administration of 9 towns of the City District Government Lahore (CDGL) and the WCLA.

Lahore Division Commissioner Abdullah Khan conducted a meeting to review the strategy to vacate or demolish dangerous buildings with an aim to avoid any unpleasant incident during the current monsoon season. The statistics reveal that 371 out of 567 dilapidated buildings are declared dangerous for living in the CDGL towns, while the rest 196 are identified by the WCLA.

Operation has been started and these buildings will soon be evacuated or demolished.
