Lahore-Islamabad Motorway: NHA hailed for successful renovation of M-2

A high-level ceremony was held at NHA Headquarter Islamabad that was presided over by National Highway Authority's Chairman Shahid Ashraf Tarar. The ceremony acknowledged the services of those NHA officials who ensured renovation of Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) as a success. Muslim Commercial Bank's Executive Vice President Natasha Ahmad praised the services of NHA officers and presented shields on behalf of Muslim Commercial Bank.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman NHA Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Member Planning Raja Nosherwan, Member Finance Shoaib Ahmad Khan, Member (Eng-Coord) Arshad Mahmood Chaudhary and others. It may be noted that the renovation work of Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) is being financed by MCB and other banks of the country. The Chairman NHA thanked MCB and other banks for their support in the said project and expressed these institutions will continue to finance NHA's construction and maintenance project in future as well.

On the occasion, Executive Vice President MCB Natasha Ahmad was also presented shield on behalf of National Highway Authority. NHA Chairman further said that numerous BOT projects under communications were ongoing that would boost communications infrastructure in the county and would provide the public world-class travel and transportation facilities. The Chairman added that NHA experts were making their utmost efforts to ensure timely completion of Karachi-Lahore Motorway (KLM) and its completion would minimise the distance between Karachi and Lahore.-PR
