City Administration has decided to initiate the repairing work of dilapidated roads in Karachi. Sindh government has issued Rs300 million for the development of roads.

Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has stated this during a meeting, which was attended by KMC’s Director Technical and Services Niaz Soomro, Director Planning and Development Syed Shakaib Ahmed and a few others.

Sindh government has released funds regarding development of city’s infrastructure. The meeting has decided to initiate work of repairing of city’s roads and development of city’s infrastructure. KMC would start repairing work would start on 28 roads in its jurisdiction. Corporation will also install street lights and work on beautification at Mehran Highway by removing encroachment and planting trees.

It is also decided to launch awareness drive regarding cleanliness surrounding Mehran Highway.
