The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) campaign against illegal constructions and encroachments is in full swing.

The authority is ensuring indiscriminate and strict action against violations of CDA building by-laws and encroachments in the federal capital, said a press release issued Saturday.

In the continuation of anti-encroachment drive, CDA stopped the construction work on a plaza, Royal Apartments, situated in Pakistan Medical Co-operative Housing Society, Sector E-11.

The construction work was violating approved layout plan of the CDA so authority demolished illegal constructions on second and third floor of the plaza.

The operation was carried with the assistance of Islamabad Police and Islamabad Capital Administration. The Islamabad High Court during a proceeding has also passed the directions to CDA authorities to take immediate action against the violators of CDA building by-laws in sector E-11.

The violators were served prior notices but they did not remove the violation at their own.

Similarly, during another operation teams of Enforcement Directorate also demolished 15 illegal dwellings near zero point sector G-7.
