The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started taking the possession of its residential sectors which were stalled from the past decade and has acquired 1,800 kanals of land in E-12.

The possession of the Unique Housing Project of the civic body’s Park Enclave has restored and the balloting of plots were held successfully.

CDALand and Estate Directorate Director General Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat said that Built-up Property (BUP) survey in sector C-15 and C-16 has been completed and soon award will be announced. He further stated that long pending allotments of D-13 and E-12 is opened now.

He said that Estate Directorate has also launched the Sector I-15 which was stalled from last seven years and authority is about to auction the commercial plots of this sector. The previous allottees are being offered plots in lieu of their flats. The stakeholders have appreciated CDA’s move.

He said that authority has also started taking the possession of land in KuriVillage with the mutual consent of the locals and has also started payment of compensations to the affectees of Kuri Model village.

He said that Machinery Pool Organization Directorate (MPO) of the Authority has started leveling and other development activities on acquired land. During the first phase, possession of Sub Sector A of Kuri Model Village has been completed, he added.

Hamza Shafqaat said the policy of mutual consultation and dialogue, will not only ensure the resolution of the issues of the affectees but will also initiate the development work in Model village Kuri after getting possession of land from the locals in peaceful and mutually agreed manner.

He said that CDA has started paying compensation to the affectees of Mouza Noon of Islamabad. In this connectionLand and Estate Wing of the Authority have initially disbursed Rs 200 million as compensation amount to the remaining affectees of Sector H-16 and I-17 of Islamabad, he said.

DG land said that these payments are being made on the directions of Islamabad High Court (IHC). The affectees, who owned a land up to two (02) kanals, are already been compensated and now land owners of 5 kanals are being compensated, he maintained.

The award of Mouza Noon and Badhana was announced in year 2007.

He said that Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has directed the Land and Estate Wing to ensure the payments to the affectees who owned the land up to two (02) kanals in the wake of directives of IHC.

Acting upon the directions of ChairmanCDALand and Estate Wing has made payments to more than 100 affectees and took possession of almost 200 kanals of land in Mouza Noon he added.
