The Capital Development Authority (CDA) was installing modern LED lights on the route of Metro Bus Project.
In first phase, LED lights on Jinnah Avenue, where construction work has been completed, have been installed and made operational.
The LED lights would be installed on the under construction parts of Jinnah Avenue, i.e. underpasses and the parts where construction work is in progress, as soon as the construction work would be completed there. Similarly, LED lights would be installed on the whole Metro Bus route in phases.
The LED lights, designed in line with latest technology, are not only attractive and economical but would also save energy.
Chairman CDA has said that with the installation of LED lights, they will not only save energy but it would also enhance beauty of Jinnah Avenue.
Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has directed the Engineering Wing to expedite the pace of work on repair/maintenance of roads and ensure its early completion, as payment would be made from the funds allocated for Metro Bus Project.
