Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has retrieved 300 kanals of land in Sector E-12 after a special operation.
During the operation heavy machinery was used. With the possession of this land CDA got possession of 1200 kanals in Sector E-12 in short time due to efforts of the administration said a press release.
It may be recalled that CDA had launched Sector E-12 in 1989 but it could not secure possession due to multiple reasons.
Now the CDA administration is focusing on securing possession in all sectors which are under adverse possession so that these stalled sectors could be developed on priority to facilitate the allottees who were allotted plots many years ago.
With the possession of 1200 kanals of land the Authority is in a position to construct Service Road and the development of Markaz in sub-Sector E-12/2. CDA retrieved this land after successful dialogue and consultation with the local elders and Numberdars of villages Dherek Mohri, Seri Siral and Dhoke Chora. The locals supported the operation and fully cooperated with CDA team. The cooperation and support of the locals will enable CDA to get possession of land of the whole sector and development activities in the sector would be completed.
CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal lauded the retrieval of hundreds kanals of land in Sector E-12 and directed to take effective steps to initiate development work.
