ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has successfully conducted a fair and transparent balloting for allotment of one hundred and fifty four (154) residential plots in its Park Enclave Housing Project on Monday here at Jinnah Convention Centre.



The balloting process was supervised by a committee headed by Member Finance Capital Development Authority, Arbab Sher Bahadar. While Director General land and Estate, Director General Law, Director Estate Management-I, Director Estate Management-II, Director Public Relations, Director I.T and Director Regional Planning Capital Development Authority being members of the balloting supervisory committee were also present on this occasion.
The balloting process was also conducted in the presence of large number of applicants who applied for the residential plots of Park Enclave Housing Project, representatives of civil society, NAB, FIA, Immensity International while representatives of both electronic and print media also witnessed the balloting process. The particulars of the successful candidates have been uploaded on website of the Authority today.
In order to ensure transparency in the balloting process manual balloting procedure was adopted. Under this procedure the names of the applicants along with their application numbers were placed in one box while the plot numbers were placed in the other box and the applicants and impartial people among the audience were asked to pick a chit from each box and then the name and application number of successful candidate along with its plot number were announced in the presence of applicants, Media and representatives of other institutions.
This procedure was highly appreciated by the people and lauded the efforts of the Authority for holding fair and transparent balloting of plots of Park Enclave Housing Project. Forty-eight (48) plots of 1000 yards and 106 plots of 500 yards were allotted through the balloting.
Earlier, during the last month, Capital Development Authority sought the applications for allotment of residential plots of Park Enclave Housing Project through balloting and people across the country after getting 1979 broachers submitted 1506 applications in the Capital Development Authority out of which 173 applications were received against forty eight (48) plots measuring 1000 yards while 1333 applications were received for one hundred and six (106) plots measuring 500 yards. Initially the last date for submission of applications was fixed as December 24, 2014, however, on the interest of the public the last date was extended to December 30, 2014. In order to ensure transparency and to facilitate the applicants the particulars of the applicants were uploaded on the website of Capital Development Authority for three days, so that any objection, if any, may be addressed.
Chairman Capital Development Authority, Maroof Afzal has lauded the steps taken by the relevant formations of the Authority for organizing transparent and successful balloting of the plots of Park Enclave.
He greeted the successful applicants and said that resounding response of the public in the balloting of Park Enclave Housing Project shows the confidence of the public in Authority and Capital Development Authority would continue to serve the citizens.
