SIALKOT
The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Sialkot has declared as many as 29 private housing schemes as illegal for lacking requisite approval the TMA.
According Tehsil Officer (Planning) Sumera Shafi, there were total 43 private housing schemes in Sialkot tehsil, out of which only 14 schemes were approved by the TMA while the rest 29 were illegal for lacking NOC.
She said that more than 100 kanals of land was required for any private housing scheme while less than 100 kanals of land was required for land sub division.
She revealed that the said illegal declared private housing schemes are: Gulshan Tauheed Town Mianapura, Tauheed Town Shatabgarha, Al0Noor Colony Talwara Mughalaan, Azeem Housing Scheme, Gulshan-e- Azeem, Bilal Town Kaakeywali, Defence Homes Talwara Mughalaan , Gulshan-e-Ehsan Wazirabad-Sialkot Road, Cantt View Housing Booth , Cantt Model Villa, Gohdpur Model Town Head Marala Road, Usman Town, Nafees Villa Jammu-Sialkot Road, Usman Tufail Scheme Kotla Ambaanwala, Happy Valley Town, Kashmir Villa Bonkan, Muhammad Lateef Pakka Garha, Canal garden Town, Azam Town Rehmanpura, Imran Arif Pakka Garha, Defence Homes Kamaanwala, Nasheman Housing Scheme, Abdullah Javaid Scheme, Star Housing Scheme , Defence Sun Fort Villa, Dream Land Uggoki and Model City Housing Scheme.
She said that stern legal action is being taken against these illegal housing schemes as well.
RS115M RELEASED: The Punjab government released a special grant of Rs115 million for the establishment residences for judicial staff and new courts in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
The provincial government has also directed the DCOs concerned to start construction work on the project on the emergency grounds.
While the District and Session Judges of these districts have also been intimated, in this regard.
Senior officials revealed that the residences had become short against the growing number of the judges and their staff, due to which the judges were doing work while sitting in the rooms of their clerical staff.

Talking to local notables and newsmen at Khanpur-Noor Kot, Shakargarh tehsil, Ghulam Khalid and Ghulam Sajid said that Pakistan had successfully started the journey of development leaving behind darkness by opening new vistas of foreign investment in Pakistan.
They said that the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to China would bring massive foreign investments in Pakistan. They termed the PM’s visit very successful as it would pave the way for development of the bilateral ties. They added that signing of a MoU with China for US$ 42 billion was another great success of Pak-China everlasting and long live friendship. They narrated that PM’s visit to China had promoted the soft image of Pakistan across the world.
