KARACHI: Bahria Town has decided to construct world’s third largest mosque in the provincial capital, which, it is said, will be considered as another masterpiece of Islamic architecture.

The mosque will have a capacity for 800,000 people to perform their prayers at a time.

The biggest mosque of the world is Masji-e-Haram in Saudi Arabia while Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAW) is the second biggest mosque in the same country.

The premises of the grand mosque will also house a museum where oldest scriptures of the holy Qur’an will be put on display.

It is said that the exquisite and grand construction of the mosque will be an eye candy for the beholder.

Meanwhile, a congregation of Juma prayers was held here on Friday in which 100,000 faithful Muslims said their prayers. Later, Maulana Tariq Jamil presented a sermon before the gathering.
