This was decided in a meeting to review the progress on issues related to LDA City.
Chief Metropolitan Planner Waheed Ahmad Butt and representatives of Pak Estate, Paragon City, Urban Developers, Mamar Housing Services and Alfa Estate were present at the meeting.
The meeting was told that the governing body of the LDA had given the go-ahead to extend the area to be acquired for LDA City from 45,000 kanals to 61,000 kanals.
It was further told that in lieu of the land acquired so far, the LDA had already started issuing exemption letters to plots buyers who had purchased files from approved development partners.
In order to safeguard rights of buyers, special security papers were also prepared for exemption letters.
