CDA continues anti-encroachment op
Islamabad - On the directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal, enforcement directorate of the authority is continuing with its operation against encroachments and illegal constructions in Islamabad.
During an operation, teams of enforcement directorate demolished a house comprising two rooms adjacent to graveyard on the 9th Avenue, which falls in the route of Metro Bus Project and was causing hindrance in the project. Officers of Rawalpindi Development Authority also participated in this operation.
During another operation at IJ Principal Road, enforcement directorate demolished an under-construction plaza adjacent to Turbo CNG near Carriage Factory and retrieved CDA’s land from illegal occupants.
Similarly, in another operation 10 illegal animal sheds near Pindora Chungi, one hotel in sector I-10 and four huts near Katarian Pul were demolished and four truckload of material was confiscated.
Maroof Afzal has directed deputy director general enforcement to continue anti-encroachment drive without any fear or favour and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard. The chairman CDA further directed to ensure effective monitoring so that encroachments could not be cropped up again.
