The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to introduce an electronic queue/fast tracking system at its one-window operation. This system will ensure transparency and facilitate the applicants in the allotment and transfer of properties.

The purpose of the One-Window Operation (OWO) is to streamline public interaction with the civic body and to reduce the chances of fraud and corruption. As per one CDA official, a number of citizens complained about the OWO as their cases were delayed and sometimes, their files could not reach the concerned sections.

“Moreover, a number of touts can be found near the OWO who mint money from the citizens by promising to expedite the process of their applications,” he said.

CDA claimed in a statement that the introduction of the electronic system would minimise the public grievances and help in processing the cases immediately.

Under the new system, the residents will be informed via automated SMS about the progress and status of their cases.
