Mansehra: A committee has been formed to set the compensation for land for those being affected by the Dasu Dam Project.
According to a news source, the landowners who had refused to hand over their land to WAPDA for the development of the Dasu Dam agreed during a jirga held on October 12. The jirga established a committee to decide the compensation amount.
The news source reported further that the committee would present the compensation rates to the deputy commissioner, as the rates proposed by the district administration were not accepted by the landowners.
