On this occasion Director General Land Management, Nadim Abro, officers of Building Control Section (BCS), Enforcement Directorate and other concerned formations of the Authority were also present.Amer Ali Ahmed directed the Land Directorate to ensure transparency and prompt redress regarding grievances of general public. He said that it has been observed that people are running from pillar to post particularly in the Estate Affected Section and there is a need for immediate and prompt disposal of their cases or complaints on merit. It was pointed out that delay in holding of Allotment Scrutiny Committee (ASC) meetings causes inconvenience to public as well as results in corruption. To streamline the matters, the Director General Land Management, Nadim Abro was directed to upload all data of pending ASCs on computer within a week, which will be accessible on Internet for transparency, said Member Administration and Estate. He directed that he would call the meetings on weekly basis while the agenda would be generated randomly through computer software. The Information Technology Directorate of CDA assured that this exercise would be completed within one week. Previously ASC meetings were held arbitrarily; however, with the introduction of the new system, now the process will become transparent and efficient.
