The catastrophic floods have badly damaged the roads in Sialkot, making it hard for flood-hit people to return to their homes.

The people are courageous enough to travel on broken roads in Bajwat, Head Marala, Saidpur, Charprar, Pasrur, Bella areas and Sambrial. MNA said years were required to re-construct the roads. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sialkot, Nadeem Sarwar told that the raging flood had damaged 112 roads. He said this while sharing preliminary flood damages assessment of Sialkot District.

The flood affected 75,000 people in 167 villages and crops on 15,346 acres. Up to 192 cattle were perished while 170 houses were damaged partially and 90 were completely damaged. Flood and torrential rain in Sialkot took lives of 35 people.
