Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak ordered speedy work on the expansion of GT Road in Peshawar. He ordered the expansion of four lanes on each side of the GT Road and development of greenbelts from Chamkani area to the Rehman Baba Square as well as the Motorway Interchange and Ring Road in the city.

He called a meeting recently to examine the pace of work on the plan to beautify Peshawar and to improve the city’s traffic system. He said that he is closely monitoring the Peshawar beautification project. Local Government minister Inayatullah, Mineral Development minister and focal person for mega projects in Peshawar Ziaullah Afridi, Sports and Culture Minister Amjad Afridi, MPA Javed Nasim Khan and relevant officials attended the meeting.

Chief Minister directed the relevant officials to speed up the improvement and beautification work of buildings on both sides of the major road in the province to give it a better look. He further asked them to keep up the greenbelt alongside Balahisar Fort and improve road conditions and lighting systems in Peshawar’s cantonment areas.

He told that KPK government is committed to develop the province along with modern lines.
